Tara M. Chico, MPH, is a doctor of public health student in Maternal and Child Health at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona (UA). Ms. Chico has seven years of experience working with American Indian communities throughout southwest Arizona. Prior to her graduate studies, Ms. Chico worked for a tribal child protective service agency in a position that worked to reunite families. Her previous public health experience includes program evaluation and community based participatory research in tribal communities. Since completing the MPH program at the UA, Ms. Chico has worked for the Center for American Indian Resilience (CAIR) in different capacities which include Co-Director of the Community Engagement and Outreach Core.
